Age Classifications

USA Hockey groups players according to birth year. Your child's birth year determines at which level your child will play for each season. Each level from 8U-14U consists of two birth years.

For the Fall 2020-21 season

Birth year cutoffs for each level as determined by USA Hockey are as follows:

8U (Mites*) Born 2012 and later

* The Junior Wildkits administer the Mite travel program in Evanston; for more information, email  .

10U (Squirts) 2010 and 2011

12U (Peewee) 2008 and 2009

14U (Bantam) 2006 and 2007

High School Attends Evanston Township High School (Boys); Attends high schools that combine specifically for girls hockey (Girls)


For the Spring 2021 season

Birth year cutoffs for each level as determined by USA Hockey are as follows:
