EYHA House League is a fun, affordable ice hockey program for players at every level -- from beginners to more experienced players who are working on taking their game to the next level. The goal of House League is to provide young players with an enjoyable, constructive experience that focuses on skating fundamentals, hockey skills, teamwork and a solid understanding of the game.

Prerequisites: At the discretion of the coaching staff, beginners may be required to participate in prerequisite classes before joining House League.

Minor Mites: Born 2004 or later
Major Mites: Born 2002-2003
Squirts: Born 2000-2001
Peewees: Born 1998-1999

Want to see what House League is all about? All current and new players between the ages of 5 and 12 are welcome to join us for an Open House practice on September 18th.

No equipment? No problem! We have plenty of equipment for use, but each player should bring their own skates.

All House League practices begin Saturday, September 25th.

Mites play half-ice games against other Evanston Mite teams on Sundays. All Mite games are in-house at Robert Crown. All Mites will also have the opportunity to play some full-ice games throughout the season on Saturdays and Sundays. Schedule TBD based on ice availability.

All other divisions play in the North Shore Youth Hockey League against neighboring NSYHL teams.

Skating Sessions
House League players (excluding Minor Mites) will have the opportunity to participate in additional skating instruction several times throughout the season. Schedule and times TBD.

House League players may register at the Open House on September 18th or on the first day of practice on September 25th. If you are not able to register on either of these dates, please contact Greg Toritto (contact information below) to make other arrangements.

Important! USAH Registration
Every player must pre-register online with USA Hockey, and bring proof of registration with them on September 25th. You WILL NOT be able take the ice if you have not registered by the first day of practice. See more details about USAH registration below.

EYHA Fees
Minor Mites: $545 plus USAH registration
Major Mites: $645 plus USAH registration
Mites joining after 12-15-10 will pay $325. This special rate is only available to Mites.
Squirts: $675 plus USAH registration
Peewees: $675 plus USAH registration

Non-Resident Fee: New players who are not Evanston residents will pay an additional $35 "non-resident" fee.

For insurance purposes, online USAH registration is MANDATORY in advance of participation in any on-ice activities (except for the Open House). The process is simple--but if you don't complete it before arriving at the rink, you won't be able to participate. Here's what you need to do:

• Register online at www.usahockey.com, where you will pay a $43 fee with credit card, debit card or Visa gift card. Players born in 2004 or later must still register online, but their registration is free.

• Print a receipt with confirmation number and provide it to EYHA before the first House League practice.
